Molly Maguire's Pub
Jim Thorpe, Pa.
1:00 P.M.

Initially, the plan was to meet for lunch, a couple of drinks, and a few cigars. Yea Right!! We met there at 12:45 and didn't stopped talking long enough to order lunch. We ordered drinks, a pint of Guinness for me and a pint of Harp for Jerry, and lit up a cigar. 7 hours later we realized that we both had better be getting home!!!

Yuengling Brewery Tour and Herf
Pottsville, Pa.
1:30 P.M.

Again the plan was to meet about 1:30 for the tour and then to The Brass Tap Tavern for lunch. Both Jason and I were early so we spent about 45 minutes looking through the Museum and Gift Shop. The tour started with a 20 minute verbal presentation explaining the history of the Yuengling Brewery and family, the brewing process and what we would be seeing on the tour. The tour wound it's way through the brewery eventually returning to the place we started from for the SAMPLES!!! Two glasses of any of the 6 brands that the Yuengling Brewery makes. Then it was off to lunch. The only snag happened when Jason and I arrived at the Brass Tap to find it closed. Fallback. Go to Plan B! Ruby Tuesday's, just a mile outside of Pottsville is cigar friendly so that's where we headed. We arrived at Ruby Tuesday's and took a seat at the bar, ordered some drinks and lit up a cigar. This time we managed to order lunch! All in all it never ceases to amaze me how fast 3 1/2 hours can go by when your having a good time! So at about 5:30 we called it a day cause Jason had at least an hour long drive to get home. We discussed some quick ideas for a get together up in his neck of the woods and headed home.

JT's Steak and Ale Mini Herf
Jim Thorpe, Pa.
4:30 P.M.

Saturday Feb. 17 came clear and cold. I decided to get there really early in the hopes of beating Jerry, since everytime we meet I find him waiting for me!! I arrived at JT's about 3:40 and settled in with a Guinness and a Conny#9. Jason was the first to arrive, and much to my suprise and delight, he brought his Dad along for the festivities. Then in timly fashion Jerry arrived, followed closely by Gary. HELL YES!!! The more the merrier. There were smokes, and Guinness, and smokes and Bass. These, followed by more smokes and some Merlot. There was food in there somewhere, but I lost track between the smokes and the Guinness. Somewhere around 7:30 the herf broke up with all having had a good time!

JT's Mini Herf Pictures.
Thanks Jason for bringing the digital camera. My pictures won't be developed for another couple of days.

Thank you to all the attendees!

JT's Steak & Ale
Jim Thorpe, P.

Finally, Travis "The Wingman" is coming east. The usual plans applied. Meet, smoke, eat, smoke, drink, smoke and be merry! And that, we did! Travis, myself, Jason and his Dad, John all met at JT's for the Wingman Cometh Herf. There were fewer people than expected, but there was still a great night ahead of us.

Travis was waiting for me when I walked through the door and very soon after that we were joined by Jason and John. The drinks were ordered, the cigars were lite, and we were off and running! Both Jason and Travis brought digital cameras and those pictures are available on the pictures page.
